I’ve always been average. Pretty good a lots of things but not great at any of them, straight C’s that’s me and I’m quite happy with that.

So when people say we’re amazing I can’t quite square it away with being average, I don’t feel amazing, we just deal with the hand that’s been dealt us as would any other parent facing the same thing.

It’s very flattering to be thought highly of but also slightly uncomfortable, ‘why am I so special, I’m just looking after Toby’, yes we have to do things a lot of parents think is horrendous but it doesn’t make us super humans, just parents to a super little boy.
